The MUFFIN!

I think this one speaks for itself! Zephyr sure keeps us laughing!!!!

Camping in the Yukon

The month of August has been busy, but we still found time to enjoy the beautiful Yukon. Here's a few pics from a couple of weekend exertions. For the Discovery Day long weekend we went to Marsh Lake. Zephyr loved the freedom to roam the campground and explore. He also enjoyed eating sand and pine cones! For the Labour Day long weekend we travelled to Pine Lake (just outside Haines Junction) with a bunch of good friends. We went canoeing, biking and even swimming! It was pretty chilly, but that didn’t stop Zephyr- we can’t seem to keep him away from the water……..any water actually. Zephyr enjoyed hanging out with his good buddy Liam. The two of them were quite cute. I wish we had taped the two of them laughing hysterically while holding onto the “vibrating” generator! It was a very memorable weekend! (Thanks again Jay.......we are LOVING the trailer!!!!)

A little "Lord of the Flies".....who's Jack and who's Ralph???

Entertaining themselves with the generator!!!

Camping is very tiring!!

Our Happy Boy!

Canada Day

We took Zephyr to the Canada Day Parade and then to Shipyards Park to see the animals. Although he enjoyed this, his favorite part of the day was crawling up and down the hill at the park. He's a pretty easy guy to please!!!

It's finally starting to feel like SUMMER!

Zephyr is growing like a weed. I have moments when I look at him and wonder whose kid he is, because I can’t believe where the last year has gone. He’s into everything- very curious and always on the move. He loves books, eating pine cones/dirt, the water (whether its bath time or we’re at the pool), and being outdoors. His new thing right now is tickling us- it’s really cute- and clanking his glass with ours and saying “cheers”! He’s a real snuggler—always makes times for hugs and kisses. He reminds me of Nathan more and more everyday! He’s just an all around good natured kid- we’re really blessed. He’s not walking yet, probably because he's too busy talking or babbling . His new words these days are “all done”, “ball”, “hi”, “uh oh”, “bye bye” and “buddy” (Nate taught him that!!). Needless to say, we’re having a lot of fun and a lot of laughs!

It was an awesome weekend. We had hot, sunny weather and blue skies until 11:00 or 12:00 at night........we love this time of the year!!! Here's a few pics......

We spent the day with the Milfords at Kusawa Territorial Park (about 75km north of Whitehorse). It was absolutely amazing and Zephyr loved playing with his "buddies" Liam and Cadence! Thanks guys.....it was definitely good times!!!

Where is Spring???

We had snow for almost all of April.....we were wondering if spring would ever arrive. Nonetheless, it didn't stop us from gettting out and enjoying the beautiful Yukon. Here's a few pics from around the house- Zephyr's favorite pass times are eating and bathing! We also got out and enjoyed playing and hiking in the snow. We spent one day hiking around at Swan Haven, just south of Whitehorse, to check out the mating swans.
